Thanks – great call today, things are really coming together!

As discussed I think it’s fine to have a bunch of sponsors providing content as long as they’re suitably diverse – after all IoT solutions take a village!

The below is a starter list of folks I have talked or will talk with, and we should all work our contacts to converge.  The idea is at least two co-opetors / competitors in each solution stack “category” so it’s suitably vendor-neutral.   First come-first served, LF Edge members first right of refusal until Aug 2 then open up.  I think we can accommodate more than two per category if it happens to work out that way but I don’t think we should proactively recruit past two.

(Bold already LF Edge members, green means already signed up to sponsor the event)

  1. Silicon – e.g. Intel, Arm, NVIDIA
  2. Sensors/devices – both camera makers (e.g. Axis, Bosch, Hanwa) and general sensors (e.g. Zebra, Impinj, Monnit)
  3. HW OEMs – already have Dell and HPI committed but we could accommodate more here. I’ll ping Moxa, Advantech and others.
  4. Public Clouds – e.g. AWS, Google, MS
  5. Enterprise software – e.g. IBM, SAP, SAS, Oracle, PTC
  6. VMS providers – e.g. Genetec, Milestone and/or?
  7. Specialists in building /energy management – e.g. JCI, Tridium/Honeywell. Siemens, Schneider, Gooee, Switch Automation, Riptide
  8. Pure-play security tools – e.g. Mocana, Forgerock, etc. (we’ll have RSA Labs’ Iris as an option through our Dell Tech sponsorship)
  9. Pure play device/system/app management – e.g. VMware (Pulse IoT Center, comes with Dell Tech sponsorship), Pixeom, Zededa
  10. General / Data Management / Analytics – e.g. IOTech, Redis Labs, Foghorn. I think it’s ok to have more than three here if suitably diverse)
  11. SIs – e.g. Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant (would be great to get some retail specific ones)
  12. Retail-specific solution providers – e.g. Retail Next, Door (also PoS providers)
  13. Pure-play AI model builders – e.g. Anyvision, Deepvision, GorillaTech
  14. What else? I know there are more unique categories but I’m tired of typing... 😊

Anyway, you get the drill!  Input always welcome, but unless I hear otherwise I’m going to start recruiting to this plan and welcome y’all to do the same!

Any volunteers for creating a private google doc to track?

Awesome thanks. Let’s make sure that it’s private since we don’t want to have companies that are considering exposed if they don’t ultimately do it.
